The publishers of Physics in Medicine & Biology, IOP Publishing, in association with the journal owners, the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM), jointly award an annual prize for the best paper published in the journal during the previous year. The prize is named in honor of the first editor of PMB, John Roberts, who served from 1956 to 1960.
We are so proud of the Mass General Radiation Oncology team who authored the 2022 winning paper, “HEDOS—a computational tool to assess radiation dose to circulating blood cells during external beam radiotherapy based on whole-body blood flow simulations.”
