A selective overview over radiobiology research at MGH.

Henning Willers, MD, Director of the Radiation Biology & Research Program at MGH and Principal Investigator in the Preclinical Chemo-Radiotherapy Testing Consortium of the NCI will review  the promise, the challenges, and the road ahead for incorporating molecular targeted agents with chemoradiation. Opportunities for (bio)physics in the analysis of radiation/drug combinations and toxicity reduction in clinical trials will be highlighted.

Clemens Grassberger, PhD, Associate Director of the Radiation Biology & Research Program at MGH will review the role that data analytics, machine learning, and mathematical modeling can play in the development of “rational” radiation/drug combination regimen.
